Finding the right fit in a therapist can be hard, especially when you’re used to being the “helper”

As a therapist or helping professional, you spend your time supporting others - listening, tuning in, and making sense of people’s emotions and experiences. But that role can make it difficult to step out of “therapist mode” and fully tend to yourself.

Working together

I know what it’s like to sit on the other side of the couch and how hard it can be to allow yourself to be vulnerable. My approach with therapists and others who make a living by helping others, starts with genuine openness and curiosity:

  • Who are you?

  • What have you gone through in life?

  • What do you need?

Often therapists that find me have gone through their fair share of therapists but never found one that they “clicked” with. They might have tried therapy for a few weeks or months. My approach is down to earth and straight forward. I don’t “analyze” - my goal is to make you feel at ease so we can have open and honest conversations that make room for progress and growth.
